Lead Time Restrictions on Booking.com

Lead time can be set per room on Booking.com by users. However when the property becomes XML active this lead time can no longer be changed.

Our own lead time restriction that is set at the Rateplan level is not applicable to any of the OTA's.

On Booking.com we have access through our admin account to manually change the lead time at the rateplan level. This is can only be set as 1 days, 2 days etc. not down to the hour. However there is a second lead time restriction in the Booking.com Calendar that can be set to the exact hour counting back from midnight and this can be applied to each individual room type.

A property using Booking.com standalone can edit this restriction but once they connect to our Channel Manager this restriction cannot be edited on both Booking.com's side or though the Channel Manager.

The video below shows how and what restrictions can be used within the calendar. Once the property is XML active these options are no longer accessible. So if they have a restriction in place they cannot edit it and need to contact Booking.com to edit the restriction on their behalf. Booking.com can do this for them but will pass it back on us. The only other work around is to create a new identical room on Booking.com, delete the old one and re-map on our side.
